2028 4-Star Owen Eteuati-Edwards Adds USC and Washington Offers as Recruitment Continues to Take Off

The recruitment of 2028 four-star forward Owen Eteuati-Edwards continues to gain significant momentum.

The 6-foot-8 Arcadia High School standout recently added offers from USC and Washington, giving him two more high-major opportunities as his recruitment begins to expand. The offers, which came on September 15, add to a recruiting profile that has already attracted attention from programs across the country.

Eteuati-Edwards is emerging as one of the more intriguing frontcourt prospects in the West, combining size, physicality, passing ability and versatility. He has also continued to climb the national recruiting landscape following a strong sophomore season and an impressive summer on the EYBL circuit.

A Productive Sophomore Season

Eteuati-Edwards made a major jump during his sophomore campaign at Arcadia.

He averaged 14.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game during the 2025-26 season. He led Arcadia in both scoring and rebounding as the team finished 23-6 overall and 13-1 in Pacific League play.

His production wasn't limited to scoring.

The 6-foot-8 forward has shown an ability to facilitate from the frontcourt, rebound at a high level and impact the game without needing every possession designed for him. During his freshman season, he averaged 10.7 points and 7.6 rebounds before increasing his scoring output as a sophomore.

That progression has been one of the most important parts of his development.

During Arcadia's Pacific League opener against Pasadena in December, Eteuati-Edwards put together one of his more notable performances of the season, scoring 18 points while repeatedly using his size, footwork and ability to draw fouls against a much taller opponent.

Versatility Has Become a Calling Card

One of the biggest reasons Eteuati-Edwards has attracted early high-major attention is the number of ways he can influence a game.

Prep Hoops lists him as a 6-foot-8 power forward who also has experience playing center. The outlet's evaluation from his EYBL play highlighted his ability to operate from the four or small-ball five, including handling the ball, creating from the top of the key and finding teammates.

That versatility was particularly noticeable during the 2026 Nike EYBL season.

Playing for NW Rotary, Eteuati-Edwards averaged 12.1 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game in the 16U division, according to NBN Magazine. He was also recognized as part of the All-Circuit Breakout team following the summer.

His ability to make plays from the frontcourt gives him a different dimension than a traditional interior prospect. He can establish position inside, attack closeouts, facilitate and use his strength to create advantages around the basket.

The Recruiting Momentum

Eteuati-Edwards' recruitment has been building for more than a year.

He began receiving Division I attention while playing for Arcadia and on the Nike EYBL Circuit. August 2025 that he had already collected offers from Cal State Bakersfield, Arizona State, San Diego, Oregon and Stonehill, while also receiving an invitation to a USA Basketball minicamp.

That list continued to grow.

Oregon, Arizona State, Missouri, Utah, Oregon State and UCLA have all entered the picture at various points in his recruitment, with UCLA extending an offer in August 2026. 

USC and Washington Enter the Picture

The latest additions are particularly notable because of the programs involved.

USC is a major in-state opportunity for the Arcadia standout. Eteuati-Edwards has already been on the Trojans' radar, including an unofficial visit to USC in the fall of 2025. 247Sports previously identified USC among the programs involved in his recruitment.

Now, with an official offer in hand, the Trojans become an even more significant part of his recruitment.

Washington, meanwhile, gives Eteuati-Edwards another Pac-12 opportunity and expands the geographic reach of his recruitment. The Huskies' interest also makes sense within the context of his grassroots basketball background, as he has played EYBL basketball with NW Rotary, a program based in the Pacific Northwest.

The two offers bring another layer to what is already becoming a crowded recruitment.

USA Basketball Recognition

Eteuati-Edwards has also received recognition beyond the high school and grassroots levels.

He was invited to a USA Basketball Junior Men's National Team minicamp in 2026, and USA Basketball's roster lists him as a 2028 forward/center from Arcadia High School.

That type of national exposure has given Eteuati-Edwards another opportunity to compete alongside many of the country's top young prospects.

What's Next for Eteuati-Edwards?

With two more high-major offers now on the table, Eteuati-Edwards' recruitment is entering another phase.

The biggest question over the next year will be how his game continues to develop as he moves toward his junior season. He already possesses the physical tools to play through contact and compete around the basket, while his passing ability and willingness to operate away from the paint give him additional value.

If his perimeter skill set continues to progress alongside his physical development, his versatility could remain one of the defining characteristics of his recruitment.

For now, there is no shortage of schools involved.

USC and Washington join a growing list that includes UCLA, Oregon, Oregon State, Arizona State, Missouri, Utah, San Diego and Cal State Bakersfield, among others documented throughout his recruitment.

And with another high school season ahead, the 2028 four-star forward is positioned to remain one of the names to watch in Southern California and nationally.
