2027 Five-Star Nasir Anderson Schedules Eight Official Visits as Recruitment Enters Critical Stage
The recruitment of 2027 five-star point guard Nasir Anderson is officially entering its next phase.
Anderson, one of the highest-ranked guards in the country, has scheduled eight official visits this fall as he continues to evaluate some of the nation's premier college basketball programs. The 6-foot-3 guard from Prolific Prep in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is currently a top-10 national prospect and has become one of the most coveted point guards in the 2027 class.

The schedule gives Anderson an extremely busy fall, with eight different programs getting an opportunity to make their pitch before he ultimately makes his college decision.
A Recruitment Filled With High-Major Options
Anderson recently trimmed his recruitment to a top 10 consisting of Kentucky, North Carolina, UConn, Providence, Syracuse, Indiana, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee and Virginia.
USC was not part of that original top-10 group but has nonetheless earned an official visit, giving the Trojans an opportunity to make a late push for one of the premier guards in the class. Meanwhile, UConn, Indiana and Florida currently remain among his finalists without official visits scheduled.
The breadth of Anderson's recruitment isn't surprising considering the type of prospect he has developed into.
He has been a highly regarded national recruit since his early high school years, beginning his high school career at Savannah Country Day before transferring to Norcross and eventually moving to Prolific Prep in Florida ahead of his junior season.
His rise continued on the national circuit, where his combination of size, strength and playmaking ability helped establish him as one of the premier lead guards in the country.
What Makes Anderson Special?
At around 6-foot-3 and 215-220 pounds, Anderson possesses unusual physical strength for a point guard. He's a left-handed downhill attacker who consistently puts pressure on the defense and has the ability to create advantages with the ball in his hands.
Anderson isn't simply a scorer, either.
One of the biggest parts of his appeal is his ability to create for teammates. He has shown the vision to locate cutters, throw lob passes and make plays while operating downhill. His creativity and passing ability give him the tools to function as a true offensive initiator at the next level.
There are still areas of his game that scouts believe can develop. Decision-making, right-hand development and shooting consistency remain areas to monitor as he prepares for the college level. Defensively, however, his physical tools and rebounding ability give him considerable upside.
Kentucky, UNC and the Rest of the Field
With eight visits now on the calendar, each program has a significant opportunity to separate itself.
Kentucky is one of the most intriguing programs in the recruitment. Mark Pope and his staff have made Anderson a priority, and the Wildcats will host him on October 5, shortly after Big Blue Madness.
North Carolina also remains a major factor. The Tar Heels will get one of the final opportunities to host Anderson when he visits Chapel Hill on October 30.
Tennessee will host Anderson on October 15, with his visit coinciding with the weekend Tennessee football hosts Alabama. That type of atmosphere could give the Volunteers an opportunity to showcase the overall experience of playing in Knoxville.
Providence, Virginia and Syracuse will get earlier opportunities to make their impressions, with Anderson beginning his official-visit schedule in September. Georgia will host him October 9, while USC gets its opportunity September 24.

Anderson's recruitment has become one of the more intriguing storylines in the 2027 cycle because of the number of elite programs involved and the versatility he brings to the point guard position.

With his official-visit schedule now set, the race for one of the best point guards in the 2027 class is entering its most important stage yet.
