2027 Top-30 Prospect Chase Lumpkin Cuts Recruitment to Six

One of the fastest-rising guards in the 2027 recruiting class has officially narrowed his recruitment.

Four-star guard Chase Lumpkin, a standout at McEachern High School in Powder Springs, Georgia, has trimmed his list to six schools: Alabama, Michigan, Louisville, Kentucky, USC, and Arkansas.

A Rapid Rise

Lumpkin has emerged as one of the biggest risers in the 2027 class. His combination of size, shot-making ability, ball skills and playmaking has made him one of the most coveted guards in the country.

Playing for Jet Academy on the Nike EYBL circuit, Lumpkin averaged 17.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.2 steals per game across 20 games this summer. His production was matched by the way he impacted games, consistently showing the ability to create offense both for himself and his teammates.

Scouts have particularly praised his confidence with the ball and his ability to operate as a primary initiator. At 6-foot-4, Lumpkin has positional size for a guard and can pressure defenses by getting downhill, creating advantages in the paint and knocking down shots when defenders give him space.

Lumpkin is also scheduled to return to Alabama for an official visit on September 19.

Michigan
