2028 Four-Star Benjamin Berrouet Seeing Recruitment Explode With Major Power Conference Offers

The recruitment of 2028 four-star forward Benjamin Berrouet has quickly become one of the most intriguing storylines in the national sophomore class.

The 6-foot-8 Texas native has emerged as one of the premier frontcourt prospects in the country, and college programs are beginning to line up accordingly. Over the past several weeks, Berrouet has added offers from Houston, Georgia Tech, Miami, Michigan, and Texas, further solidifying his status as one of the hottest rising prospects in the 2028 cycle.

Berrouet, who attends Dynamic Prep in Texas and plays with AB Elite on the Nike EYBL circuit, is currently regarded as a four-star prospect and one of the top power forwards nationally in his class.

His recent surge in recruitment comes after a dominant spring and summer stretch on the EYBL circuit. Berrouet has put together eye-popping production against elite competition, averaging 24.5 points and 12.9 rebounds per game while shooting over 56 percent from the field and better than 53 percent from three-point range. Those numbers are remarkable for a player with his size and positional versatility.

Why Programs Are Prioritizing Him

Berrouet brings a modern power forward skill set that fits today's college game perfectly.

At 6-foot-8 with a strong frame, he can score at all three levels and impacts the game in multiple ways offensively. He is comfortable operating on the block, facing up from the mid-post, or stepping behind the arc to knock down perimeter shots. His combination of strength and mobility makes him difficult to guard, especially when attacking closeouts and getting downhill toward the rim.

What separates Berrouet from many young forwards is his productivity. He doesn't rely solely on athleticism. He consistently finds ways to impact winning through rebounding, physicality, effort plays, and efficient scoring.

Breaking Down The Recent Offers

Houston's offer stands out given Kelvin Sampson's track record of identifying and developing tough, physical frontcourt players. Berrouet's motor, rebounding ability, and physical style fit many of the traits Houston covets.

Texas entering the mix is another significant development. The Longhorns have made it a priority to keep elite in-state talent home, and Berrouet is rapidly becoming one of the most important long-term targets in the state.

Michigan and Miami have also made early pushes. Both programs see a versatile forward with long-term upside who can continue expanding his perimeter skill set while already producing at a high level. Michigan officially extended an offer in late May, while Miami followed shortly before.

Georgia Tech's recent offer further illustrates how national Berrouet's recruitment has become. Schools from multiple power conferences are now involved, and the expectation is that even more high-major programs will enter the picture as he continues to develop.

Outlook

For a player entering the early stages of his high school career, Berrouet already possesses a rare combination of size, production, skill, and physicality. His ability to stretch the floor while also dominating inside has made him one of the most coveted forwards in the 2028 class.

With recent offers from Houston, Texas, Michigan, Miami, and Georgia Tech joining an already growing list of Division I opportunities, Berrouet's recruitment is trending upward rapidly. If his EYBL production continues at its current pace, don't be surprised to see additional blue-blood programs enter the race sooner rather than later.

The national spotlight is only getting brighter for Benjamin Berrouet, and he looks poised to remain one of the most closely watched prospects in the 2028 recruiting cycle.
