2027 4-Star Jeremiah Profit Continues National Rise With High-Major Programs Closing In
The recruitment of Jeremiah Profit is beginning to accelerate in a major way.
The 6-foot-5 California wing has quickly emerged as one of the more intriguing long-term prospects in the West Coast pipeline, blending size, shot creation, and positional versatility into a profile that college programs covet in today’s game. Profit, who plays for Rancho Christian in Temecula and on the Adidas 3SSB circuit with Gamepoint Basketball, is already hearing heavily from a growing list of Division I programs.
Profit recently told us at DSTRKT Digital that the schools currently recruiting him the hardest are Creighton, Stanford, Seton Hall, UNLV, Northwestern, and High Point.
While still early in the process, the interest level speaks volumes about how college staffs view his upside.
Recruitment Breakdown
Profit’s recruitment has steadily climbed over the past year as his national exposure increased on the travel circuit.
Programs are drawn to the same combination: positional size, offensive versatility, and long-term developmental upside.
Creighton
Creighton’s staff has prioritized Profit early, and the relationship appears strong. Reports indicate Profit took an unofficial visit to Omaha during the season and has continued communication with the Bluejays staff.
The fit makes sense. Creighton has consistently developed skilled perimeter players who can shoot, pass, and operate within spacing-heavy offensive systems. Profit’s ability to play on or off the ball aligns naturally with that style.
Stanford
Stanford’s involvement stands out because of the program’s focus on lengthy, versatile wings who can impact both ends of the floor. Profit’s size and basketball IQ make him an attractive option for the Cardinal, particularly as he continues to add strength and defensive consistency.
Seton Hall
Seton Hall entering the picture shows just how far Profit’s recruitment has expanded nationally. Big East programs have increasingly valued bigger guards who can create offense while defending multiple positions, and Profit checks many of those boxes.
UNLV
UNLV has also made Profit a significant priority. The Rebels have been active on the West Coast recruiting trail, and Profit’s scoring ability combined with his upside as a playmaker fits the modern guard/wing mold the program is targeting.
Northwestern
Northwestern’s involvement reflects Profit’s growing reputation as a high-IQ perimeter prospect. The Wildcats have been selective in recruiting versatile wings capable of handling the ball and making reads within structured half-court offense.
High Point
High Point may be the most aggressive program currently involved. Profit already completed an official visit there, and he spoke positively about how the coaching staff envisions utilizing his game.
Profit said High Point’s staff emphasized his “decision-making and playmaking ability” along with how effectively he creates offense in the paint for teammates.
Breaking Down Profit’s Game
Profit’s appeal starts with his scoring package.
At 6-foot-5, he operates comfortably as a combo guard or wing and has shown the ability to score from all three levels. Evaluators consistently praise his confidence off the dribble, shot-making versatility, and advanced feel for creating space.
Three-Level Scoring
Profit is dangerous both on the catch and off the bounce. He has a smooth pull-up jumper, can rise comfortably over defenders in the mid-range, and has shown confidence shooting from deep. His ability to create separation using hesitations and crossover moves stands out for a player his age.
Playmaking Ability
What separates Profit from many young scoring wings is his vision. He doesn’t simply hunt shots, he reads help defenders and can facilitate offense when defenses collapse. That secondary playmaking element is a major reason high-major staffs are prioritizing him early.
Size and Versatility
Modern basketball increasingly values wings who can slide across multiple positions, and Profit fits that archetype. His length allows him to shoot over smaller defenders while also giving him defensive upside as he continues physically maturing.
What’s Next?
Profit’s recruitment is still in the early stages, but the trajectory is clear: more national programs are beginning to enter the mix.
With continued development physically and defensively, he has the tools to become one of the premier perimeter prospects in the West Coast region. Programs from the Big East, Big Ten, Mountain West, ACC, and beyond are already investing heavily in the relationship-building stage.
And based on the current momentum, that list is only going to grow.
