The Grind Session Europe Tour: Four Standouts Set to Shine in Lithuania, Rome, and Madrid

The inaugural FIBA Next Gen Hoops Invitational tips off on June 4–5, 2025, in Vilnius, Lithuania, spotlighting a high-level international youth basketball showcase. This two-game series features the Grind Session Select Team—a U.S.-based squad composed of elite high school talent—facing off against Rytas Vilnius, the reigning back-to-back Youth Basketball Champions League (BCL) titleholders.

This event marks a significant collaboration between FIBA and The Grind Session, aiming to provide top-tier youth athletes with international exposure and competition. The Grind Session has a storied history of developing players who progress to collegiate and professional levels, including NBA stars like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jayson Tatum, and Paolo Banchero.

This invitational not only showcases emerging basketball talent but also strengthens international ties within the sport, providing invaluable experience for the participating players.

Seven Spurlock – Prolific Prep (CA)

Seven Spurlock, a 6'5", 205-pound small forward from Frisco, Texas, is a standout player for Prolific Prep in Napa, California. In the Class of 2026, Spurlock is known for his athleticism, defensive prowess, and versatility on the court. He has received 15 scholarship offers from programs such as Appalachian State, Arizona State, Auburn, Houston, Iowa, Jacksonville State, and LSU. Spurlock's ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor will be crucial for The Grind Session team as they compete overseas.

Mike Jones – Chi-Prep

The interior enforcer for this squad is 6’7 forward Mike Jones, a relentless competitor who averaged a dominant 19.8 points and 14.0 rebounds per game for Chi-Prep. Now committed to Alcorn State, Jones brings physicality, athleticism, and a high motor to the frontcourt. He thrives in transition, fights on the glass, and finishes through contact with regularity. His versatility allows him to defend multiple positions and impact the game even when the ball isn’t in his hands. Jones will provide much-needed toughness and energy as The Grind Session squad looks to match the physicality of European frontlines.

Jayden Robinson – DNA Prep Academy (CA)

The lone 2010-born player on the Grind Session Europe roster, Jayden Robinson continues to defy expectations. Despite being the youngest on the team, the skilled guard put together a phenomenal season for DNA Prep Academy, earning both All-Grind Session and All-Underclassman Team honors. Robinson averaged 20.0 points and 4.4 assists per game, displaying a level of polish, maturity, and feel for the game that’s rare for his age. With elite shot-making ability, a tight handle, and an advanced understanding of pace, Robinson can score from all three levels and operate as a primary playmaker. His poise and creativity make him one of the most exciting young guards in the country—and one to watch closely overseas. Major Power 5 schools interested in Robinson.

Jaylin Conard – DNA Prep Academy (CA)

Teaming up with Robinson in the backcourt, Jaylin Conard was another bright spot for DNA Prep this season. A dynamic combo guard who averaged 18.0 points and 5.9 assists per game, Conard was also selected to The Grind Session All-Underclassman Team. He plays with great confidence and pace, showing the ability to break defenders down, create off the bounce, and consistently deliver in pressure situations. Conard’s vision and scoring instincts make him a threat on every possession. Both Conard and Robinson have already drawn major Power 5 interest, underscoring the national attention their backcourt is generating—even as underclassmen.

Brandon Mason Jr – ABC Prep

One of the top-ranked players in his class, Brandon Mason Jr of ABC Prep enters the tour as the reigning Grind Session Underclassman of the Year. Averaging 15.8 points and 6.8 rebounds per game, Mason’s versatility and athleticism make him a matchup nightmare. He scores from the wing with ease, rebounds in traffic, and can defend across multiple positions. Ranked in the Top 100 nationally, Mason has the talent and two-way impact to lead this team on both ends of the floor throughout the European slate.

Bradley Floyd – Winston-Salem Christian (NC)

Standing at 6'5", Bradley Floyd is a versatile combo guard in the Class of 2026, currently playing for Winston-Salem Christian National in North Carolina. Previously at Kings Mountain High School, Floyd averaged 19.6 points, 4.6 assists, and 1.7 steals per game. He describes his game as being adept at getting downhill and making plays, drawing inspiration from NBA star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander for his pace and decision-making. Floyd's performance has garnered attention from several programs, including offers from Appalachian State, Charlotte, Florida State, Hampton, and Stetson. His ability to score, facilitate, and defend makes him a valuable asset for The Grind Session team as they face European competition.
