Adidas 3SSB Session II Rolls Into Council Bluffs: Stock Risers to Watch
The second session of the Adidas 3SSB circuit tips off May 16–18 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, at the Iowa West Fieldhouse. With elite programs from around the country converging in the Midwest, the stakes are high as players aim to elevate their status in front of college coaches during the live period. A handful of prospects have already started to turn heads — and this weekend could be their breakout moment.
Stock Risers to Watch
Joshua Leonard – Upward Stars (SC)
Leonard has quickly become one of the more intriguing wings on the Adidas circuit. With a long frame, smooth athleticism, and improving perimeter skills, he's proving he can impact the game in a variety of ways. Whether slashing to the rim, knocking down open jumpers, or defending multiple positions, Leonard’s versatility makes him a name to watch closely this weekend in Council Bluffs.
Kuol Deng – AE5 (TX)
Deng’s upside has been impossible to ignore. The 6-10 forward brings fluid mobility and a growing skill set that’s allowing him to stretch the floor while still protecting the paint. His presence on both ends has been a game-changer for AE5, and he continues to climb recruiting boards as he flashes long-term two-way potential. With another strong session, Deng could solidify himself as one of the top breakout bigs on the 3SSB circuit.
Davion Adkins – Southern Assault (TX)
Adkins has come into the spring with a chip on his shoulder — and it’s showing. The explosive guard has been a scoring catalyst for Southern Assault, using his quick first step and tough shot-making ability to put pressure on opposing defenses. He plays with a fearless edge, and his defensive intensity has matched his offensive production. If Adkins continues to produce at this level, expect his recruitment to surge.

As the Council Bluffs session unfolds, these three rising prospects will be under the microscope. With momentum on their side and a platform to perform, this weekend could be a major turning point in their grassroots seasons — and their futures beyond.
