Top-50 2027 Recruit Dylan Jones Schedules Official Visits to Ole Miss and Providence

One of the nation's top prospects in the 2027 recruiting class is beginning to narrow his focus.

Four-star wing Dylan Jones has scheduled two official visits for this fall, lining up trips to Ole Miss on September 19 and Providence on September 25 as his recruitment continues to gain momentum. The visits represent two programs looking to make a major impression on one of the premier players in the country.

Jones, who is ranked among the nation's top 50 prospects in the 2027 class has become one of the fastest-rising wings in the country thanks to his combination of size, scoring ability, and two-way versatility. Over the past year, he has seen his recruitment expand with high-major programs from across the SEC and Big East making him a priority.

Ole Miss Looking to Build Momentum

Lane Kiffin may lead the football program, but Chris Beard and the Ole Miss basketball staff have quietly become one of the more aggressive recruiting groups in the SEC.

Jones has already spoken highly of the Rebels throughout the recruiting process, and the September official visit gives the coaching staff an opportunity to showcase the program, campus atmosphere, and their long-term vision. Ole Miss has been consistently involved in his recruitment alongside several other high-major programs, making this visit an important opportunity to separate themselves from the field.

The Rebels have emphasized player development and positional versatility under Beard, two areas that fit well with Jones' game as a lengthy wing capable of impacting both ends of the floor.

Providence Gets Its Opportunity

Less than a week after visiting Oxford, Jones will head to Providence for another official visit.

The Friars have made the talented wing a significant priority and now receive their own chance to make an impression before the recruiting process begins to move closer toward a decision. Competing against SEC programs for elite national talent is never easy, but Providence has built a reputation for developing skilled wings and producing competitive teams in the Big East.

Landing an official visit is a positive sign for the Friars as they continue battling for one of the top available prospects in the class.

Recruitment Still Wide Open

While Ole Miss and Providence are currently locked in with official visit dates, Jones' recruitment remains far from finished.

Several high-major programs including Alabama, Memphis, Tennessee, and Texas A&M have been involved throughout his process and continue to recruit him aggressively. Those schools have remained in regular contact after evaluating him during the spring and summer live periods.

As one of the country's most coveted wings, Jones has positioned himself to take his time before making a final decision, allowing each coaching staff the opportunity to present its vision.

With two official visits now on the calendar, the next phase of his recruitment officially begins. Both Ole Miss and Providence will look to capitalize on their opportunity this September as they battle for one of the nation's top 2027 prospects.
